Benjamin Young, M.D., Ph.D.
Ben is a Co-Director of Global Travel Health and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the General Internal Medicine Division at the University of Colorado. He received his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology in 1990 while working in the laboratory of Colorado Noble Prize recipient Thomas Cech. He went on to complete his medical residency and infectious disease training in 1998 at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. A Certified HIV Specialist and Principal Investigator for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Young cares for patients in Colorado and in the developing world on his frequent trips overseas. His love of medicine, travel and skiing has taken him to six continents in the past six years.
